Relationship Property Division in NZ Survey

Welcome to the Relationship Property Division in New Zealand (RPDNZ) Study

This nationwide study aims to understand how people in New Zealand divide their property after separation. We are interested in the different ways people go about doing this and how they resolve any disputes about property, with or without the use of services, lawyers or the courts. The study will investigate the views and experiences of separated people about dividing property after separation via online surveys and interviews.

The study is being undertaken by a team led by the Children’s Issues Centre in the Faculty of Law at the University of Otago. It is generously funded by the Michael and Suzanne Borrin Foundation.
